What We Offer:

This service provides help to people aged 17 and over who are experiencing common mental health problems such as depression and anxiety disorders, including: generalised anxiety disorder (GAD); social anxiety; post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD); health anxiety; panic; phobias and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). However, you do not need a diagnosis to access the service and we also see people with problems such as stress, low confidence, sleep disturbance and self-esteem issues. There is no upper age limit for people accessing our service. You can meet us at Chesterton Medical Centre, Union Lane, Cambridge.

I think this might be the first Google review I’ve ever left. I felt compelled to say how grateful I am to Cambridge IAPT and David for the wonderful help. As a first time therapy sceptic, I was initially unsure. Now I can’t be more sure of the benefits. I feel lucky I had such a brilliant therapist and experience.
We are very lucky to have this excellent service available for free. Yes there might be a waiting list, but it’s so worth it. The self referral process is simple and easy to follow. I was doubtful of the outcome at first as I’d never had EMDR treatment before, but can now say with confidence it’s a safe process and the therapists are there to make sure you’re OK. For me it has been a positive experience.

I found my CBT therapist to be very professional, productive and compassionate. I would recommend the service and am grateful for the support.

Dr. Pironti is highly experienced with both ADHD and ASD and spent as much time as was needed to assess my son for both of these things. He was both patient and thorough and helped us to understand the next steps needed to best support my son. Without a doubt the best person to go to for either assessment, I can’t thank him enough.

Mind made the entire process of diagnosing our son’s autism, incredibly clear and comfortable. They treated him with respect and age appropriately. The report was detailed, clear and fit for the purpose of securing educational and social support. The process is daunting and emotional but they did everything they could to put us at ease and keep us informed at every stage.
Timely, professional, organised, sympathetic and flexible. Overall a great service (ASD diagnosis) which helps to offset the fact that we as parents are already going through so much in relation to better understanding how we can further our child’s well being. Price is slightly above average – but the service is good and it sure beats waiting 1+ years just to get to the top of the list on the NHS.
Really wonderful service. It’s annoying that you have to go private because it’s so difficult to get a timely assessment via the NHS but it was definitely worth it. The assessments were conducted quickly which really helped but they were also always available to answer questions which was needed because you can feel very adrift while waiting for diagnosis.
