Nice restaurant in a centric road in Cambridge. The food was good 😋 and the staff very friendly and professional.
I absolutely love Maurizio’s! Both Maurizio and Sweet are the perfect hosts, paying attention to detail and always upbeat and welcoming. The food is great and the atmosphere is lively. Myself and my family love this place – highly recommended! The Nutella pizza is my favourite! And I always enjoy the fresh pasta options. I’d like to see some more vegan fresh pasta options but otherwise it’s a 10/10 from me, see you again soon, ciao!
Great ambience, best Italian food I’ve had in Cambridge. Traditional restaurant and staff are lovely.

What We Offer:

Al Pomodoro was born from the idea of 2 cousins, 27 years old each one, to offer the experience of feeling like in Italy in the heart of the city of Cambridge. To compliance with this goal, the original idea was to create a business like most of the businesses in the south of Italy, a traditional family business. A family business, as we see it in Italy, is made when the 90% of the employees are members of a family. Umberto (one of the partners) ‘s mother in law is our head chef, his father in law is our pizza chef, his wife is the pastry chef, and almost all of the other employees are cousins or relatives. Our goal is to deliver a service during which our customers can feel like in Sicily.

Very good food with large tasty portions. The staff was very helpful, everything we needed was immediately there to help and serve us.
Highly authentic family run restaurant, with an extensive menu and generous portions. We had the Ele pizza and the seafood linguine and tiramisu for dessert. Plenty of families eating here with children well catered for. Some of the best Italian food in the city.
The food here is delicious! They have a big selection of things to choose from and all reasonably priced. I would particularly recommend the Norma pizza – the aubergine on it was so crisp and tasty. Would be nice to see the interior decor be changed up a bit to make it feel more its own place (it’s quite similar to the restaurant that was here before), but still has a nice atmosphere regardless.

The restaurant is quite small but feels quite intimate, would be great for dates or smaller groups. You can buy other things here including hams and cheeses. Looks great.
Love it here. I miss my holidays in Italy but fuel and energy charges in the UK are too expensive so I can’t afford to go away but i will be taking a trip to this restaurant whenever I need an Italian hit.
Just enjoyed a fabulous meal at Limoncello. Great atmosphere, wonderful staff and superb food. What a delight- you must visit
