Restaurant Twenty-Two is the debut restaurant of partners Sam Carter and Alex Olivier. The restaurant occupies a quaint Victorian heritage house, with stained glass windows nestled into its brickwork that date back to 1892. Located in a historic corner of Cambridge, just off the River Cam on Jesus Green, the restaurant is in the perfect location for a leisurely lunch after a stroll (or punt!) alongthe river. By night, its atmospheric candlelit dining rooms offer a special space to enjoy inventive yet fulfilling food for all occasions.

I took my fiancé to R22 for his birthday lunch. We had the vegetarian tasting menu which he paired with soft drinks and I paired the the wine. This was a great idea, as there were quite a few courses and quite a bit of wine. The soft drinks were also well paired for the meal with interesting flavours.
Absolutely outstanding. I knew of this restaurant years ago under the previous owners when I couldn’t belie how good the food was for the price. The new owners have taken this to the next level though.
The most incredible meal I have ever had! SERIOUSLY! I don’t even know where to start to describe it. From the first bite to the last each and every dish was bursting with harmonious flavour.

The Galleria is a gorgeous restaurant! The food is impeccable – compliments to the chef/kitchen staff & the location is perfect! Riverside views are what makes a special meal out, even more perfect!
We were on the lower balcony when it was 8 degree outside. The area was heated so it was still comfortable.
The food was fantastic! And nice service! Really like the environment. The price is good as well. I will definitely come to try other stuff on the menu.

Whilst on the surface, the menu seems to lack much imagination – the execution of the dishes was superb. The beef bourguignon was definitely a reason to come back. Service was very slick and there is a large amount of seating. No down payment necessary to reserve a table, reasonably priced wine list too.
Clean and well kept WC although be aware they are up some steep and narrow (and short, mind your head!) stairs. I didn’t notice, but didn’t look specifically, any accessible bathrooms, but I’m sure there probably is some in there.

Best steak I have ever eaten. Great service too.
