We only came here because our usual cycle repair shop couldn’t fit us in, how glad we are that they were too busy, this place is a real find, and we won’t think of going anywhere else now. They took our bikes straight away and we were able to pick them up by the end of the day. My bike looked like new after a repair and service, all clean and working beautifully, the gears had never been quite right after its previous service and now they slide beautifully.
Had an emergency troubles with chain while cycling into town, thought I’ll have to replace it and was ready to do so but gent working in Kingsway Cycles very kindly suggested that he can repair it. Less than half an h and coffe and a cake in nearby pattiserrie later my bike was ready. Very fair price, quick turnaround and perfect location. Can’t fault it and will be back when my next service is due. Thank you once again!
Great and friendly service, they kept a bike for me for a month before I came and picked it up, great help setting it up for me and picking all the accessories I needed too.

What a fantastic shop. In these days of chain stores it is refreshing to find an independent bicycle seller of this high standard. The quality of the bikes are second to none and the owner was so helpful.
Excellent service. Responded to emails quickly. Did a really excellent job on my old bike. Was transparent throughout with the cost of materials and labour (which ended up being very reasonable). My bike now runs like a new bike. Highly recommend.
I walked in with my bike to Life on a bike and he was amazing I told him what was going on.He took one look at my bike and said ‘that is the right fitting’ got his magic tool out and tightened it up. He was very polite he hasn’t said anything bad

A wonderful bike shop. I bought a front basket for my bicycle here and had it fitted on the same day. Very good attention to detail (remounting my front light etc.). Glen has also done smaller repairs and adjustments for me. Reasonably priced, quick & kind service, and COVID precautions taken (doors open, masks worn, bikes sanitised, one customer in the shop at a time). My favourite bike shop in Cambridge!
Purchased a new bike for my wife to replace her very old one, Glen was able to provide it ready to ride within two days of placing the order. Excellent service and the after sales promises to be likewise. Keep away from all those “online specials” and support the independent shops and get much better value for money as we did with Glen at Barton Cycles.
We rented two bicycles for a weekend ride in the area. The staff was friendly and tried to accommodate our needs. I think it was a bit more expensive than other shops, but it was totally worth it due to the quality of the bicycle and attention to our needs. They even included a pump, helmets, locks, and lights. Thank you.
